Statement of Faith
As members of the Body of Christ and the historic Christian community,
we adhere to basic Christian beliefs as stated in:
The Apostles Creed:
I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth;
and in Jesus Christ his only Son, our Lord; Who was conceived by
the Holy Spirit; born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius
Pilate, was crucified, dead and buried; He descended into hell;
the third day He rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven
and sits on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from where
He shall come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit; the holy catholic church; the communion
of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body;
and the life everlasting. Amen.
As an Assemblies of God Church, we believe:
1. The Bible is the inspired and only infallible and authoritative
written Word of God.
2. There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the
Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
3. In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in
His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning
death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right
hand of the Father, in His personal future return to this earth
in power and glory to rule a thousand years.
4. The only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance
and faith in the atoning work of Jesus Christ, which He accomplished
through the shedding of His blood.
5. Regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for personal
salvation.
6. In the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, the one to
everlasting life and the other to everlasting damnation.
Adherence to the above basic Christian beliefs is fundamental.
As an Assemblies of God Church, we also believe:
** 7. In water baptism by immersion.
** 8. The redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing
of the human body in answer to believing prayer.
** 9. The baptism in the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:4, is
given to believers who ask for it.
** 10. In the blessed hope- the rapture of the Church at Christ's
second coming.
** 11. Then Christian is enabled to live a holy life by indwelling,
sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit.
** Where differences of belief may exist in these distinctive doctrines,
employees are to respect the doctrinal position of
Cedar Road Assembly
of God and refrain from teaching or opposing viewpoints at Cedar
Road Christian Academy.
We also ask that teachers be sensitive to religious viewpoints of
the families connected to the Academy and not instruct in such a
way as to intentionally undermine their particular beliefs.
