Cedar Road Christian Academy began in 1980 as a ministry of
Cedar
Road Assembly of God.
The founding pastor of the church, Rev. Howard Schmidt, was responsible
for the initial vision for a school. CRCA was founded to serve a
growing need for Christian education and child care in the Great
Bridge area.
Cedar Road Christian Academy has grown from a small volunteer-based
day care to the respected institution that it is today.
The Academy functions under the guidance of Rev. Benjamin Bonnici,
school administrator and pastor of the church. The financial reports
of Cedar Road Christian Academy are monitored monthly by the church
advisory committee, to whom the school and day care are accountable.
The school shares the facilities of
Cedar Road Assembly of God at
916 Cedar Road, Chesapeake, VA.
